PESHAWAR:
After Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) peace march failed to reach its intended destination in South Waziristan, the party’s Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) chapter now wishes to arrange another march to Bara in Khyber Agency.
Talking to The Express Tribune at PTI chief Imran Khan’s book launch, Iqbal Afridi, a party leader from Khyber Agency, said unlike the previous march, this march intended to protest the military operation in the tribal areas and indiscriminate shelling by armed forces.
“More innocent people have fallen prey to shelling by security forces than drone attacks,” he maintained. Afridi also said that a delegation of leaders of the PTI’s Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Fata chapters would meet Imran Khan in order to get approval for their peace march. The PTI Khyber Agency leadership has also boycotted political administration meetings.
Rustam Shah Mohmand, another PTI leader, said that tribesmen had suffered more than anyone else in the government’s war on terror. “Thousands of tribesmen have migrated from their homes, after their businesses, educational institutions and health facilities have been destroyed,” he added. Mohmand held his party chief as a symbol of hope for tribesmen, saying he would bring real change to the tribal belt by abolishing the Frontier Crimes Regulation and ridding the country of the war on terror.

Give peace a chance
Peace march to South Waziristan was a success but i don't to see anymore marches coz it is dangerous for workers.
ET u need to cut down ur obsession with PTI and its small chapters and focus on government and other parties in power, seriously.
Yes. Bunches of people walking in the same direction will change something. Do you know why marches get attention? It's not out of support or the actual effect it's having. It's because people are simply going to notice a large group of people walking somewhere because it's a distraction no matter what you're doing. Typical PTI mentality. "We'll jump up and down until you look at us and then threaten you for telling us to shutup when you finally listen and realize you should have kept ignoring us. Then we'll make up nonsense words to call you like liberal fascist while claiming we represent the educated in the same sentence and if you don't like it, blame the drones!"
There may b many other good ways to raise voice against army shelling. Then why a march to resolve this affair? Isn't it a move for gaining political points? or just occuping news headlines for some days?
Give peace a chance.
