At least 15 more people die of gastroenteritis

Hundreds of patients are also admitted at various hospitals or are being treated at home.

SUKKUR: At least 15 people, a majority of them children, have died of gastroenteritis in Jacobabad and Ghotki districts in the past 24 hours. Hundreds of patients are also admitted at various hospitals or are being treated at home.

In Thull, 10 people have died of gastroenteritis. The victims include three-year-old Robina, daughter of Abdul Jabbar Jaffery from Barrage Colony, three-year-old Insaf Ali and his two-year-old sister Hameeda, children of Ali Buksh Banglani.

They died at a relief camp near the Thull bypass.

The other victims are Arbab Khatoon, 50, and Muhammad Ismail Soomro, 70, both of who are residents of village Karim Buksh, Jan Muhammad, 50, Haleema Khatoon, 45, Ali Hassan Sondhro, 35, Jadul Khatoon, 55, and five-year-old Rehana.

The victims from Ghotki district include two-year-old Fayaz, son of Mehmood Leghari and resident of village Ibrahim Leghari, six-year-old Gohar Khatoon, daughter of Elahi Buksh Banglani and was living in the Labour Colony relief camp near Mirpur Mathelo, nine-year-old Nawazi, daughter of Jindal Mahar of village Ali Dino Mahar, four-year-old Zubaida, daughter of Ashiq Leghari of village Ghulam Hussain Leghari, two-year-old Khushi, daughter of Jawed Korai of village Wali Muhammad Korai and two-year-old Suhbat, son of Mujahid Korai.
