ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday reserved the judgment in a case challenging the appointment of 18 judges posted in city district courts on deputation. The IHC reserved the judgment while hearing two identical petitions filed by Advocate Waqas Malik and IHCBA President. Malik argued that the judges’ appointment was a violation of the IHC Judicial Services Rules, under which the IHC administration must ensure 50% of the judges appointed to the subordinate judiciary should belong to Islamabad Capital Territory.
