Three children suffering from heart disease have finally acquired their India visas and will head to Nagpur city of Maharashtra in India.
Sindh Assembly Speaker Nisar Ahmed Khuhro handed over their visa letters and passports at the Sindh Assembly on Thursday.
The children Mariam, 8, Bisharat, 14, and Riaz Hussain,13, have been suffering from a congenital heart defect (hole in the heart). Rotary International has announced it would bear all their expenses. The children belong to Khairpur Mirs, Mirpurkhas and Malir.
Aziz Memon, a representative of Rotary International, and MPA Humera Alwani took the children to the speaker’s chamber where they briefed the media. Khuhro said that the government has also sent applications for fourteen other children who also need visas.
Memon said that rotary international financially helps children suffering from heart diseases and strives to establish a 500-bed hospital in Karachi.
Correction: Nagpur was misspelt in an earlier version of this article. The correction has been made.
