Unavailability of text books irks students

April 09, 2010

RAWALPINDI: The unavailability of text books of Punjab Text Book Board in the markets put students of government schools of the province including Rawalpindi in uncertain condition as the new academic year has started from April 1.

The parents and students while commenting on the situation said that at present, the Mathematics books of Class-III, Class VII and Class VIII, Science Book of Class-VII and books of Chemistry, Physics and Biology for Class X are not available at the market.

The shopkeepers have the stance that they were informed in March that the books would be provided in some days but these books still could not be supplied to markets.

The parents and students have appealed to high authorities concerned to ensure the availability of text books at the earliest as it is badly affecting the educational system and a source of concern for them.
