PESHAWAR: An under construction state run school was destroyed by unknown persons in Usmanabad area of Akora Khattak in Nowshera district in the early hours of Wednesday.

“We could not find the presence of militants in our jurisdiction so its very confusing as to who are destroying these schools,” said Hazrat Ali, an official of the Akora Khattak police.

Talking to The Express Tribune, the official said that around 6:00 am, explosives planted along the boundary wall of the school building exploded. As a result, two classrooms and the boundary wall of the under construction structure were damaged. No one was present to guard the building, locals said.

The official added that at around 8:00 am Haji Abdul Shakoor, a local elder came to the police station and registered an FIR against the contractor. In his report, Shakoor alleged that the contractor was using substandard material in the construction of the school which could ultimately result in the collapse of the school.

On October 3, unidentified suspected militants blew up a government high school for boys in Adamzai on the outskirts of Akora Khattak. Police claimed to have maintained law and order situation the area however, they have failed to arrest a single person behind the bombings of schools.

I wonder too; and I also wonder why there's no evidence forthcoming till now? This violence has been around for a long time, if there was fire, there would have been smoke by now. I am surprised you didn't mention Israeli and American involvement too, along with Indian.
