Rs10m reward to anyone who identifies Malala’s attackers: Mian Iftikhar
Hussain requested all peace-loving people from across the world to pray for the early recovery of Malala who was shot by Taliban gunmen on Tuesday while she was on her way to home from school.
The minister reiterated that Malala is not being sent abroad for further treatment as the doctors had advised her complete rest for two days.
The Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had claimed responsibility for attacking Malala and had called her “pro-West”.
Malala began standing up to the Pakistani Taliban when she was just 11, when the government had effectively ceded control of the Swat Valley where she lives to the militants.
NA, Senate adopt resolution
The National Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution against the terrorists and saluted the services and courage of Malala.
“This House salutes the great services of Malala Yousafzai. The entire nation is proud of her and condemns the incident in which Malala was injured along with two fellow students Shazia and Kainaat,” said the resolution.
The House also pledged to continue fighting terrorism till it is rooted out from the country and demanded the government to bear all medical expenses of the injured students and give exemplary punishment to those involved in the attack.
The Senate also passed a unanimous resolution condemning the terrorist attack on Malala.
Protests
As many as 200 people gathered outside Lahore Press Club on Wednesday to protest the attack on Malala.
The protest arranged by the Lahore wing of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) lasted for about an hour during which the participants chanted anti-Taliban slogans, carrying a banner in Urdu reading, “We want our daughters to be like Malala…. We pray for her recovery.”
Workers of other parties including the Labor, the Workers’, the National Student Federation and Bond Labour Federation Front joined the protest at around 6pm. Carrying a banner reading, “Those with guns fear an unarmed girl,” the protesters chanted anti-Taliban slogans.
Some NGO workers also peacefully protested the attack. Children of various government schools along with their teachers joined the protest walking from the Charing Cross to the Lahore Press Club.
A protest was arranged at the Liberty Roundabout as well.

ET can you and other media sources stop being biased and also report us the health of the other two victims of the incident? They are the living souls too. Its a request.. Please pray for the other two victims as well when you are praying for Malala!
The PRs. 10 million bounty should prove quite a facilitator on the like-minded hoods and anti-TTP fighters to do away with him. If Malala is pro-West, then what are the TTP? The TTP is the handmaiden of the West and its allies in creating terror and bloodshed in Pakistan. The TTP never existed before and it suddenly mushroomed out of nowhere in the friendship of late Baitullah Mehsud and his late partner who it is believed was a truck driver. They are out to destroy Khyber Pakhroonkhwa through terror and sinister attacks on civilians. How do they get sophisticated weapons and acquire the ability to carry out dangerous attacks on highly sensitive targets of the State? Get rid of all the TTP and their cohorts and strengthen our LEAs. Salams
Are there still Taliban sympathizers? Hunt down the Taliban like Rabid dogs and eliminate them. They are savages who deserve no sympathy. The Army needs to stop appeasing the mullahs and start protecting the lives of the citizens.

@ETrebel: I fully agree. Hakeemullah and Ehsanullah need to be hunted relentlessly and brought to justice. The impunity with which they carry out attacks on the state and then issue statements can only happen when they have the space, the territory, and know that their sanctuaries won't be touched.
Good to see people protesting against the Taliban, gives me hope.
The Taliban should now be outlawed completely. All government backing for them, especially from the ISI, should be stopped immediately.
Not only these three but all the mad barbarians belonging to TTP who kill innocent men, women and children should be killed since there is no known cure for mad dogs till date, who bite people without any reason and Taleban are exactly behaving like mad dogs.
Taliban presents an existential threat to Pakistan. Use of Nuclear Weapons are justified in this case. Use them before we lose them. Take these barbarians out once and forever. How many more innocent people need to die before we go all out. We already a have lost 30,000 people to these bombings. Send a message to the population there, death is imminent. Surround the area and give people 48 hours to leave. The ones who don't are with Taliban. Use the bomb. Yes women and children will also die. Please don't play politics. Why Malala was not provided foolproof security in the first place?
A female child has taken the bullet for this country. This is shameful to the extreme. We must stand up against these elements who do this for the greed of getting 70 virgins in heaven (if ever). Ulema of all sects must unanimously give fatwa that the terrorists who attacked 14-year-old Malala Yousafzai should be given exemplary punishment, the TTP be banned and media should boycott TTP reporting. Statements by TTP SHOULD BE IGNORED AND NOT REPORTED. Pak Army must launch a decisive operation to eliminate TTP FOR GOOD. Regards.

The Taliban boast that they committed this atrocity and have indicated they will hunt down this child and finish the job. Posting a bounty for the identification of the terrorist isn't needed - what is needed is leadership (both political and military) which has the guts to take on the Taliban.
