LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday submitted an affidavit to the Punjab Assembly stating he doesn’t hold dual nationality, Express News reported.

Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Raja Riaz had alleged that Sharif held dual nationality.

The Punjab chief minister had then said that those who have levelled allegations against him should resign if proven wrong.

Sharif said that he will go to the court, whenever summoned, because he has always respected the judiciary.

Taking note of the allegations, the Supreme Court had issued notices to both Sharif and Riaz to appear before the apex court on October 17.
