Tragedy: Three killed, one wounded in separate incidents

MANSEHRA:

Three people were killed and one was wounded in separate incidents on Tuesday. In the first incident, a couple was shot dead while their daughter was abducted over a marriage dispute in Battal.

Police quoted Muhammad Arslan* as saying that this younger sister, Bisma*, was engaged to the son of Muhammad Ali of the same village. However, her parents called off the engagement, accusing the boy of having a poor character. An infuriated Ali, his son Nazeer, nephews Saida, Shakeel and Shafiq barged into their house and forcibly took away Bibi and when his father Mehboob and mother Zar Jan Bibi put up resistance, the intruders opened fire, killing the couple on the spot.

Meanwhile, a man was killed after falling into a well while trying to rescue his son in Phulra village. They were both taken to Phulra Hospital where the doctors declared Sarfraz dead, while his son, Wazeer, is in critical condition.
