Fans of Adnan Sami were in for a musical treat as the popular singer-composer entertained them with some mesmerising melodies and his unbeatable keyboard symphonies here at the Kingdom of Dreams’ second anniversary celebrations on Saturday night.
Dressed in an all-black outfit, the 39-year-old British-born Pakistani singer kick started his performance with the “Mehbooba Mehbooba” song from the film Ajnabee, and went on to sing his other popular tracks like “Salaam-e-Ishq”, “Chain Mujhe Ab Aaye Na”, “Sun Zara” and “Noor-e-Khuda”.
A crowd of over 1,200 people was seen swaying to the melodies as the concert gained momentum.
The singer, who is referred to as the world’s fastest piano player, also gave a glimpse of his amazing keyboard playing techniques.
He was greeted with whistles every time he finished his instrumental performance.
Sami also guided his orchestra by playing the symphonies in the air through his hand gestures, and it seemed as if he was playing the instruments himself.
“He is one crazy musician,” said a member of the audience, while heaping praises at his musical skills.
Some fans showed their affection by shouting, “We love you Adnan.” And the singer reciprocated the gesture by saying, “I love you too. Thank you so much.”
His funny public interactions, that too in Punjabi, kept the entertainment quotient alive in the concert.
Sami then went on to fulfil the requests of people.
“I have received a lot of requests, and frankly we as artists are nothing without you. You guys are the kings and queens. Your wish is my command,” he said.
The songs included “Ishq Hota Nahi Sabhi Ke Liye”, “Ajnabi Sa Ehsaas”, “Teri Baahon Mein”, “Kabhi Toh Nazar Milao”, “Tera Chehra” and finally “Bheegi Bheegi Raaton Mein”, a song that everyone was desperately looking forward to.
He ended the concert with a captivating performance of the song “Lift Kara De”, where he even involved the audience.
