FBR imposes Rs7.589 million income tax on cricketer Umar Akmal

The Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) has imposed Rs7.589 million income tax on cricketer Umar Akmal, Express News reported on Sunday.

Sources told Express News that the dynamic young cricketer had not filed papers for income garnered from the Pakistan Cricket Board, and other sources, as well as assets accumulated in 2011.

FBR claimed it has repeatedly issued Akmal notices to provide information on his income, but the cricketer reportedly failed to do so.

Sources added that the hefty income tax was determined after acquiring details of his assets and bank accounts, adding that Akmal had been advised to deposit the due tax amount into the national treasury.

Why does he use fair & lovely? He's not creepy because of his skin tone.

FBR is dysfunctional and sleeping. Only about 5,75,000 business returns were filed last year and FBR has over 20,000 staff and officers working. One wonders what do they do?
