RAWALPINDI: Confusion over jurisdiction of hospital and the need for attendants deprived a patient of health care for almost five hours on Saturday. Ghazi, 20, was hit by a vehicle at Mandi Morr while crossing the road near Pirwadhai. He received injuries in the chest and abdomen. Rescue 1122 took the injured first to the Holy Family Hospital (HFH) but doctors refused to attend to him saying there were no attendants with him. The injured man was then shifted to Benazir Bhutto Hospital where the doctors said that the area where the accident had taken place did not fall in their jurisdiction. It was only after hue and cry was raised due to media coverage that the doctors at HFH agreed to treat the patient. According to doctors, Ghazi was still under treatment when this report was being filed.
