LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Saturday disposed of a petition directing the Sabzazar SHO not to harass a couple who married of their free will. Petitioner Tasleem Bibi said she had married Muhammad Rafique of her free will as her father wanted to marry her off to an old man. She said her father had approached the police, alleging that Rafique had abducted her. She said police had raided her home and harassed her and her husband. The police had also used derogatory language against her and threatened her with dire consequences, she said.  The court directed the SHO not to harass the couple.
