Community Service: Free electricity for TCF schools

KESC would bear cost of providing electricity to nearly 320 TCF schools, as well as organisation’s head office.

The Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) has decided to provide free electricity to schools that come under the umbrella of the The Citizens Foundation (TCF) in the city.


The TCF is a nonprofit organisation that strives to educate less privileged children in the country. KESC Chief Executive Officer Tabish Gauhar and TCF Founding Director Ahsan M Saleem signed a MoU, according to which the power company would bear the cost of providing electricity to nearly 320 TCF schools, as well as the organisation’s head office in Karachi.

While speaking on the occasion, Gauhar that the power company, through its Social Investment Plan, was putting its weight behind organisations that were contributing towards the provision of healthcare and education to the people.

“We are confident that our support to TCF schools would go hand in hand with their endeavors to contribute towards the enlightening the future of our future generations” said the KESC CEO.
