‘Missing’ ambulances: Hospital yet to pay Rs2.2m: company

FAISALABAD: The three ambulances that the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital said were sent to Lahore 18 months ago for installation of stretchers were found at the company showroom on Thursday. The company says that the vehicles will be handed over to the hospital when it pays the Rs2.2 million that it owes in general sales tax. The hospital authorities, on the other hand, said that they had paid Rs15 million for the three ambulances and did not owe the company any money. The vehicles were procured in 2011 to be added to the two-ambulance fleet of the hospital.
