Turkey parliament gives green light for Syria operations

The mandate, valid for one year, was passed by 320 votes in the 550-seat Turkish parliament.

ANKARA: Turkey's parliament on Thursday authorised military operations against targets in neighbouring Syria, following the death of five Turks from Syrian shelling, the Anatolia news agency reported.

The mandate, valid for one year, was passed by 320 votes in the 550-seat Turkish parliament, it added.
