Three men were killed and one injured in Pinjal Odho village near Piryalo in Khairpur district on Wednesday, in what police suspect might be a case involving personal enmity.
Zahid Odho, Ali Bux Jaffery and Govind Bheel died and Ghulam Abbas Odho was injured when unidentified men fired on them as they were working in a farm near the village. Ghulam Abbas was shifted to Civil Hospital Khairpur, while the bodies were shifted to taluka hospital in Pur Jo Goth for autopsy.
SHO Faiz Mohammad Bhindo Mohammad Ali Korai told The Express Tribune that two groups of Odho clan members had been fighting each other for the past 10 years over a karo kari dispute. Residents of the area claimed that Zahid, who was shot dead on Wednesday, was connected with the murder of Mujahid Odho two years ago. Mujahid’s younger brother, Rabail alias Rajoo Odho, was reportedly part of the group that fired upon Zahid and others.
