Baloch leader Nawabzada Talal Bugti said on Tuesday that undemocratic forces ruling the country under President Asif Ali Zardari were planning to rig the upcoming elections to remain in power and “continue their loot and plunder”.
The Jamhoori Watan Party leader expressed hope that patriotic parties would join hands to form a ‘grand alliance’ to foil ‘conspiracies’ against the country’s solidarity.
Addressing a press conference along with Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Syed Munawar Hasan, Talal said former military ruler Pervez Musharraf, who he blamed for undermining Pakistan’s solidarity and for Nawab Akbar Bugti’s murder, would meet a suitable fate. The Baloch leader also held Musharraf responsible for the Lal Masjid operation and handing over Dr Aafia Siddiqui to the US.
Jamaat-e-Islami chief Munawar Hasan said that Akbar Bugti’s assassins must be held accountable in order to foil “US designs” in the region.
Hasan announced that the JI would soon hold a public meeting at Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore, to support Talal Bugti and ensure that his voice becomes the voice of the nation.

And Jamaat-e-Islami has the most glorious democratic past! Right?
That's good of a true bloach leader to understand the importance of next general elections and to take part in it,that's the way forward.
Since my childhood I have a kind of love and deep respect for my Balochi brethren as I came to know how bravely the Baloch Regiment saved the lives of thousands of migrating Muslims from the hands of Indian hooligans at the time of Partition. I can assure Mr. Talal Bughti that not a single ordinary Punjabi want to snatch any thing from their Balochi brethren or deprive them of their natural resources. It is only the corrupt leadership on both sides who is taking advantage of the situation by creating mistrust and divide among different sub-nationalities, as in case of Punjab by promoting hatred in Seraiki speaking people against Punjabi speaking people.
