New Appointments: Four members inducted into CDA board

The chairman is not the only person being replaced at the Capital Development Authority.

The chairman is not the only person being replaced at the Capital Development Authority (CDA). Four members were inducted into the CDA board on Tuesday, said an official statement.


Munir Ahmed has been appointed member administration. He will replace Mustafain Kazmi, who had resumed his duties as member administration on September 13. He was serving as joint secretary at the Capital Administration and Development Division on deputation. Before his transfer to the CDA, Ahmed, a grade-20 officer of the secretariat group, was working as a joint secretary in the national heritage and integration ministry.

Finance Member Javed Jahangir has been replaced by Chaudhry Azhar Ali, a trade and commerce officer. Ali was working as a joint secretary at the commerce ministry prior to his appointment in the CDA board. Jahangir will report to the Auditor General’s office.

Kazim Niaz has been appointed member environment. He was previously serving as joint secretary in the Economic Affairs Division.

His predecessor, Mian Waheedud Din, will now report to the Establishment Division. Member Estate Khalid Mahmud Mirza has been replaced by Shaista Sohail. Sohail was a joint secretary at the Ministry of Industries and Production.

The remaining two members on the board, Sanaullah Aman and Abdul Aziz Qureshi, will retain their positions for now.
