Energy conservation: 45,000 students to be educated

ISLAMABAD:
The World Wildlife Foundation Pakistan and the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd signed an agreement on Tuesday for an extensive outreach programme to educate students about the importance of energy conservation, said a statement issued by the two organisations. The joint venture will reach out to 45,000 students in Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and will run from November 2012 till March 2013 – the peak gas consumption season. Specially-designed story books will be distributed among children, which will add to their knowledge of issues concerning energy consumption.
