A disgrace for all of us (III)

Could the PCB explain why it has consistently prevented Younis Khan from coming into the team?

LAHORE: With regard to the match-fixing scandal, could the PCB explain why it has consistently prevented Younis Khan from coming into the team? There is also the issue of an official accompanying the team on this tour, who, when he was a selector, had been accused in writing of taking bribes by a player. Why is the PCB choosing only those officials who have been shrouded in controversy?

Charges of conspiracy are levelled only if more than one individual is involved. The PCB manager's role in preventing Younis Khan from coming back into the team, whose several players have now been accused of match-fixing, makes his own role controversial. Pakistan cricket needs to cleanse its executive corridors as well apart from the players. The nation has been disgraced and our national pride severely dented by these cheats.

Zahid Khan | 13 years ago | Reply good point Tariq. very good indeed. Ehaz Butt also seems to be behind Younus omission. Selecting the best team is responsibility of PCB and ignoring a player of Younus caliber should be a crime against Pakistani nation. If he was selected than results might have been different or maybe not but you would have selected a good player regardless.
