After winning the toss, Pakistan chose to bat and scored 98 runs in their allotted 20 overs, with captain Sana Mir and star batsman Nain Abidi being the top scorers for the team with 26 and 25 runs, respectively.
India failed to reach the target by one run, scoring 97 runs for the loss of eight wickets, batting their full quota of overs.
India’s top scorers were J Goswami, PG Raut and M Raj with 21, 18 and 16 runs respectively.
Goswami gave an all round performance with the ball too, taking two wickets.
Besides Goswami, RK Parwin and AA Patil were the pick of the bowlers for India as well, taking two wickets apiece.
Earlier on Sunday, Pakistan men's cricket team was defeated by India by eight wickets in their World T20 Super Eights match.
India, who would have been knocked out of the tournament had they lost, skittled Pakistan for 128 and then surpassed the modest target in 17 overs, thanks largely to Kohli’s unbeaten 78 off 61 balls.
