Crime: Man dies in shootout with robbers

The robbers opened fire while escaping, injuring three inmates.

ISLAMABAD: A man was killed and two others injured after being shot while trying to resist armed burglars. Four to five armed men entered the house of Muhammad Rasheed, a driver working with a security agency, in Shehzad Town with robbery in mind but ended up alerting the inmates, who opened fire on them. The robbers also opened fire while escaping, injuring three inmates. The injured men were shifted to Poly Clinic Hospital, where Rasheed’s relative Muhammad Qasim died. The Shehzad Town police registered a case against unknown men and started investigations.
