Faulty Construction: Swabi to Lahor bridge collapses

SWABI: A 15-year-old dilapidated bridge connecting Lahor tehsil to the northern district Swabi collapsed on Friday night. According to the Swabi DCO, the bridge connected Adina, Yar Hussain and 15 other villages to Lahor. Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) MPA Sardar Ali Khan, in his visit to the site, said that the government had approved of a project that would construct a new bridge so that a better route for the traffic can be made. People around the site said that they had appealed to the concerned authorities multiple times before the collapse asking for it to be repaired, but their concerns were overlooked.
