KARACHI:

The chief of Jamaat-e-Islami’s (JI) Sindh chapter, Asadullah Bhutto, has demanded the government to take immediate steps to rescue poet Gul Hassan, who was kidnapped from Mubarakpur, Jacobabad, on September 15.

He also asked the Chief Justice of Pakistan to include Hassan’s name in the missing persons’ case. At a press conference organised on Friday, Bhutto said that law enforcers have not taken any action despite the fact that an FIR has been filed. He claimed that the Sindh government was not cooperating with the poet’s family and did not even bother to contact them after the incident.

The JI chief added that Hassan belonged to the Malik tribe had no enmity with anybody.
