Arshad Ali is awarded a PhD for his thesis "Portrayal of Women in Pakistani Feature Films 1988-1999"

LAHORE: Islamia University Bahawalpur has awarded a doctorate of philosophy to Arshad Ali for his thesis Portrayal of Women in Pakistani Feature Films 1988-1999. Professor Dr Colin B Grant, Head of Mass Communication, University of Surrey, UK and Dr Jahangir Kabir were the external evaluators. Dr Shafiq Jalandhri and Dr Mujahid Mansoori were internal evaluators. Ali, a copy editor at Express News, is author of four books on radio journalism, film production, television production and news techniques. He has also translated two books: Inside RAW and Holy War.
