Dual nationality: ‘Decision on membership in 30 days’

Acting Senate Chairman says any decision in this regard will follow the established law.

ISLAMABAD: Acting Senate Chairman Sabir Baloch has said that a decision on the cancellation of Senate membership of dual nationality holders, including Interior Minister Rehman Malik, will be taken within the next 30 days. Talking to The Express Tribune, Baloch said that any decision in this regard will follow the established law. He said that if the Constitution does not allow the Senate chairperson or Speaker of the National Assembly to take a decision in this regard, then the Election Commission of Pakistan would be the appropriate authority.
