President Zardari, UK Prime Minister David Cameron and Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai will meet on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session to discuss the process of reconciliation in Afghanistan, and the transition period.
Ambassador Masood Khan, who will soon become Pakistan's representative to the UN, told reporters at a briefing that Pakistan supports an Afghan-led and Afghan-owned reconciliation process, and that they do not want any country to interfere in Afghanistan's future.
The FO representative said that Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar also met with the Afghan FM on the sidelines of UNGA.
Ambassador Khan also said that Pakistan would host the next round of the trilateral dialogue between Afghanistan, Pakistan and China soon.
President Zardari and the Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi met on the sidelines of UNGA on Tuesday, where President Zardari reaffirmed the strength of their relationship.
In response to a question, Ambassador Khan said that China had been a key investor in Afghanistan's infrastructure development.
Ambassador Khan said that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Senate Chairman Syed Nayyar Hussain had been invited to China by the Communist Party of China.
Beijing will also play host this year to the fifth round of the strategic dialogue between China and Pakistan, said the FO representative.
