Zaka wants Asian nations to help Pakistan

PCB discusses revival while chairing ACC meeting in Islamabad.

KARACHI: Chairing the Asian Cricket Council’s (ACC) Development Committee meeting in Islamabad, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Zaka Ashraf invited member countries to help revive international cricket in Pakistan.

According to an official who was part of the meeting, Ashraf spoke about the revival as well as the game’s development in the region.

“The PCB chief invited the members to play in Pakistan,” the official told The Express Tribune. “In return, the committee members assured their support to the PCB’s task of bringing international cricket back to Pakistan.”

The official added that Ashraf stressed Pakistan and Indian cricket boards will have to step up in order to promote the game in the region. The ACC development body also noted the new membership applications from Tajiskistan, Chinese Taipae and Combodia.
