KARACHI: Chairing the Asian Cricket Council’s (ACC) Development Committee meeting in Islamabad, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Zaka Ashraf invited member countries to help revive international cricket in Pakistan.
According to an official who was part of the meeting, Ashraf spoke about the revival as well as the game’s development in the region.
“The PCB chief invited the members to play in Pakistan,” the official told The Express Tribune. “In return, the committee members assured their support to the PCB’s task of bringing international cricket back to Pakistan.”
The official added that Ashraf stressed Pakistan and Indian cricket boards will have to step up in order to promote the game in the region. The ACC development body also noted the new membership applications from Tajiskistan, Chinese Taipae and Combodia.

cant understand, apparently the minnows (Ireland, Afgahnistan, Zimbabwe) are desperate and begging to have more ODIs. Why does PCB need big countries to come. Build confidence through smaller associate teams before big teams come
Look, Pakistan's problems are lack of security and religious bigotry which has pervaded even amongst players. You fix these issues, cricket will follow suit. Other cricket boards cannot do much on these issues

Whle I've always enjoyed playing and watching the game bringing cricket to Pakistan is not a life and death issue. If our administrators and politicians instead of globe trotting and having unrealistic expectations of others put themselves and the wasted resources to addressing the country's problems there is no reason why foreigners, including sports persons would not want to visit.
