ABBOTABAD: A boy purportedly strangled himself by accident with the rope of a swing in Mohalla Sheikhul Bandi on Sunday. According to the Cantonment police, a fifth-grade student, Abdullah Shaukat, 11, was playing on a swing on the first floor of his school after school hours when the rope allegedly got accidently tied around his neck and he died of suffocation. He was taken to a local hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. While the deceased’s father, Shaukat Khan, termed his son’s death an accident, police suspect foul play and have launched an investigation into the case.
