PESHAWAR: The Tour of Himalayas International Mountain Bike Championship, which was due to start yesterday, was postponed owing to the public holiday on Friday.

While a new date is yet to be announced, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Sports Syed Aqil Shah said the event was called off to ‘express solidarity with Muslims’. The three-day race will see the participation of 44 international cyclists from 11 countries and two teams from Pakistan.
