Caroline Wozniacki cruised past Caroline Garcia with a straight-sets victory to register her place in the third round of the Korea Open, according to ESPN. The former world number one’s poor form this year has seen her topple down the rankings. She is now down at number 11 and having crashed out of Wimbledon and the US Open in the first round, she is looking to end the season on a high. She found some form with a win over Arantxa Rus in the first round and she backed that up with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Garcia. Wozniacki will play Klara Zakopalova next, who beat Magdalena Rybarikova 6-1, 7-6(8). In other matches, Varvara Lepchenko crushed Anabel Medina Garrigues 6-4, 6-1 while Tamira Paszek beat Lee So-Ra 6-2, 6-0.
