Biogas Plants: 13 awarded allotment letters

DCO Noorul Amin Mengal said that the biogas plants would help mitigate the energy crisis.

LAHORE: The district administration on Tuesday held a ballot for the allotment of biogas plants to 13 people. The ceremony was held at the district coordination office. The DCO, the Livestock Department district officer, the assistant engineer (agriculture) and the Information Department district officer were also present. Those selected in the ballot were: Adnan Nasir, Farmaish Ali, Shabbir Hussain, Nazir Khan, Shafiq Ahmad, Muhammad Iqbal, Nazir Hussain, Salman Khan, Muhammad Tanvir, Muhammad Rafiq, Ali Ahmed, Muhammad Azam and Istafsar Ahmad. Seven people are picked for the waiting list. DCO Noorul Amin Mengal said that those selected will be provided a Rs50,000 subsidy each on biogas plant. He said that the plants would help mitigate the energy crisis. He said the plants will be installed in the homes of three people in next few days and the remaining will be installed after obtaining funds from the department concerned.
