Father bludgeons 15-year-old son to death

DO KOTA: A father beat up 15-year-old during taraweeh prayers over a family dispute on Friday night.

According to details, in Sundhal’s Ghareebabad village Rab Nawaz’s wife left him to return to her parent’s house over a family dispute. Nawaz asked his son Ahmed Hassan to bring his mother back home but when he refused the father and son exchanged harsh words.

“I heard them screaming at each other and Ahmed told his father that he wouldn’t bring his mother back home because the father beat her,” said Rab Nawaz’s nephew Asad.

After breaking his fast Ahmed left for the mosque to offer his taraweeh prayers when his father barged into the mosque and started to kicking him and beating him with a stick. Locals praying at the mosque came to the boy’s rescue but Rab Nawaz dragged him home, where he tied Ahmad Hassan to a charpoy and tortured him. According to police officials, Ahmed was left tied to the charpoy for the whole night and in the morning he succumbed to his injuries.

Rab Nawaz buried his son’s body after the morning prayers and was packing essentials to take with him while  he prepared to escape the village. Mitro police reached the scene after a tip off and arrested Nawaz. Police officials have launched an investigation and said that they were going to exhume Ahmed’s body.
