Laura Robson continued her rise through the WTA rankings after a winning start to the Guangzhou International, according to ESPN. The teenager was cruising in her tournament opener against world number 111 Maria Teresa Torroo 6-2, 3-1 before Torroo retired due to injury. Robson continued her impressive run in what is being considered by most as her breakthrough year on the WTA Tour, smashing into the world’s top 100 players.
