Taliban bomb kills 14 people in Lower Dir
A spokesman for the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan said the attack, in the Jandool area of Lower Dir, was launched in revenge after villagers formed a pro-government militia. He said such attacks would continue.
“We have informed them of the repercussions of supporting the government but they didn’t stop backing the armed forces,” Taliban spokesman Sirajuddin Ahmad said by telephone from an undisclosed location.
A government official from the area said those killed were all civilians and none was a member of either the militia or the armed forces.
Police said three women and three children were among the dead and seven people were wounded.
Support for the Taliban has fallen in some areas in the north, analysts say, in part because their bloody bombing campaigns have claimed so many civilian lives.
Since 2009, the army has increased its control in much of Pakistan’s tribal areas but insurgent attacks remain common.

well now pakistanis should pressure on army to stop the differentiation between good and bad talibans they are all bad either in afghanistan or Tribal areas any one enforcing anything by force is illegal . if paksitan suppport talibans in afghansitan that is wrong as they are like TTP who have killed thousands there so they all should be given chance to put the arms down
Why E.T is NOT posting about the news regarding Taliban attack at Helmand base which has resulted in major lost to NATO. 6 harrier planes were destroyed, many damaged, many soliders got killed and injured. This shows that securing bases is not an easy job and Pakistan is being ridiculed (both by foreign and local media) when ever such attacks occurs at our bases.
Muslims killindg Muslims in the name of Islam.Hardly any one condemns their cowardly acts.Do we remember that TTP has slaughtered and beheaded Pakistani soldiers many times and then put their heads for public display.Surprisingly our electronic and print media hesitates to cover this news in details.Discussion of these tragedies is taboo by anchors on their Talk( Dog) Shows at prime time.We behave like an ostrich with its head in sand and bottom sticking out and every one is at liberty to give us few kicks including the Afghanis,Pakistans worst enemies.Even the ISPR likes to play it down.

sad and frustrating. its no shame to talk to the force whom you can't defeat. americans are doing so, so shall we. its clear that pak army has neither the capability nor intention to defeat taliban in tribal area. but for their money making war(ofcourse for the generals, not soldiers, our soldiers are patriotic and brave) innocence tribal people are being killed.

I feel sorry for these people of Dir and FATA and hold the army responsible for their misery. Considering that it was army/isi that created these Jihadi monsters, it should be the army's responsibility and duty to eliminate these terrorists. Instead, the army is raising lashkars from the locals to fight the jihadi which leads to this kind of retaliation by the terrorist and poor tribals dies. So the people in FATA anf KP not only suffer from the brutal rule of taliban but also get killed fighting them by forming anti-taliban lashkar while army officers are hanging around in isloo and kakul.
