Imran Farooq’s murder: MQM to mark 2nd death anniversary

KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement has announced that it will mark the second death anniversary of party convener, Dr Imran Farooq, throughout the country on Sunday. Farooq was murdered in London on September 16, 2010. Scotland Yard, which is investigating his death, announced a fresh appeal on Friday and announced that detectives believe Farooq was building an “independent political profile”. Farooq was one of the party’s founders. A central Quran Khawani will be organised at the Lal Qila Ground in Azizabad.
