Fire safety: Inspections of workplaces sought

Faisalabad Division Commissioner says industrial units located in residential areas should also be identified.

FAISALABAD: Faisalabad Division Commissioner Tahir Hussain has directed tehsil administrations to carry out inspections of fire fighting arrangements at workplaces. He was speaking at a meeting on Friday. The commissioner asked officials concerned to review and update record of industries in their areas. He gave them a week to submit their reports to his office. He said industrial units located in residential areas should also be identified so that a strategy could be devised to deal with emergencies.
