Prominent Baloch politician Sardar Attaullah Mengal has rejected PML-N proposal to become the interim prime minister.
Talking to the media on Friday, the Baloch nationalist leader said it was no less than a cruel joke to become an interim prime minister at a time when so much violence is going on in Balochistan.
He said he had no courage to face families of people who were killed daily in incidents of terrorism and military operations. He added that the operation launched in Balochistan in 2005 has left hundreds dead.
Other leaders from the Baloch Nationalist Party said that since Balochistan is a war zone and people are being killed on a daily basis it is unlikely that the interim prime minister will be able to reconcile with ground realities in the province.
It may also be mentioned that Sardar Attaullah Mengal had rejected the PML-N proposal to become the presidential candidate against President Asif Ali Zardari in 2008.

@ Khurram The figure of 20 settlers per month is massively exaggerated and only a fool can believe it. 20 settler have not been killed in entire 2012 so far. The settlers are being killed by the agent of establishment. Few days back Laborers were killed in Dasht area and BLA condemned the act in strong possible words. The problem of Balochistan is due to 65 years of Tyranny by the Punjab dominated establishment. Blaming Sardars and issue of Target Killing of settlers which is condemnable are just attention diverters and used by the agencies. Unfortunately people like you due to your ignorance become a part of their agenda.
sir, do you think it is the real solution to the problem?
sir i think u r confused and not clearheaded.balochistan needs real leaders and not sardars and mirs, who r selfserving.greater service to baloch people is to make them realize the futility and consipiracy of all that is going on in balochistan.educate them to get rid of sardars and mirs because it is they who r responsible for ur poor state of affairs and not anyone else
every day punjabis, pahktuns and even sindhis(who are said to be close to baloch) are being killed in the hand of baloch separatists. in this moment i think stick and carrot policy should be applied , not the policy to honor separatists.
There are no new cases of enforced disappearances. The old cases which are 28 in number are already being investigated by the Justice Javed Iqbal commission. Hundreds have been killed and hundreds are missing is basically a propaganda tool. As for as the on going killings are concerned it is absolutely wrong to say that Bloach people are being killed. In fact the BLA miscreants are killing the settlers, Hazaras and Pakhtoons.
Sir on a monthly basis atleast 20 settlers are killed in Balochistan all by your Supported Separatists purely on the basis of Ethnicity. When you kill someone and never even bother to condemn the killings of Innocent Laborers then dont expect others will shower you will petals. These Baloch murderers should be put to task but the Sardars like you are more concerned with your pockets and all of you have Properties and multi Million Mansions in Karachi and in Lahore while you are supporting Insurgency by exploiting uneducated Balochi youth while your own sons and daughters are enjoying in Cities with their lavish life styles.. If there are four or five dissappearances then the answer is simple that these target killers are put to task by our Army since they know Our Court never been able to give punishment to a single Terrorist.and also Playing the Victim card is the easiest thing you can do to conceal your own shortcomings.
Sardar sb, someone needs to come forward for tackling the mess effectively. Your role in this regard will sure be helpful for the country
ver nice and positive effort by PMLN.........but surely sardar sb. is also very right in this regard.
But Mr.Mangal by becoming PM and helping in free and fair elections in Pakistan, you would have done a great service
