Blast incidents: School and CD shop blown away

SWABI/ MARDAN: A primary level government school was blown up in Lond Khwar area of Mardan district while unidentified suspected militants destroyed a CD shop in Dagai area of Swabi in two separate incidents. Around 12:30am, unidentified militants detonated the girl’s primary school in Saeedabad area, said Fazal Subhan, an official of Lond Khwar police. He added that the explosive was planted near the boundary wall during the recent heavy downpour. Shahid, the watchman of the school who was not present at the time of the blast informed that the verandah and two classrooms were destroyed. Meanwhile, around 4am, a small intensity bomb planted near the shutter of Noordad CD shop exploded, partially destroying its structure. The FIR has been registered against unidentified men.
