ISLAMABAD:

The ANF on Friday foiled an attempt to smuggle 9kg of heroin to United Kingdom and arrested a British woman of Pakistani origin at Benazir Bhutto International Airport.

ANF sources said that the woman, a resident of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, was taken into custody when the check-in for a Dubai-bound flight was in progress.

The heroin was concealed in hidden compartments of her suitcase, sources said in Airport police. A case was registered against the woman, who was later sent to Adiala Jail on a 14-day remand.
