LAHORE: Justice Nasir Saeed Sheikh of the Lahore High Court on Wednesday fixed September 20 for arguments on a petition challenging the removal of a U-turn to General Hospital on Ferozepur Road for the Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS). The judge asked the counsel to conclude their final arguments at the next hearing. Petitioner’s counsel Nasir Shehzad submitted that the u-turn in front of General Hospital had been moved over four kilometres away. He submitted that this would cause great inconvenience to ambulances taking patients to the hospital. Some patients could die as a result. He said that the U-turn should be restored. The chief traffic officer had earlier told the court that the traffic police were doing all they could to ease the problem.
