Golf: Colsaerts to join McIlroy’s charge

As Rory McIlroy goes on to fire a volley of warning shots in the US, a number of his European Ryder Cup teammates are preparing in more understated fashion at this week’s Italian Open. Francesco Molinari, Nicolas Colsaerts and Martin Kaymer, who will tee it up at Medinah later this month, are all in the field and, not surprisingly, head up the betting, according to ESPN. Golf punters are not spoiled for choice, with the PGA Tour taking a break; so, it is likely they can dust off the hype machine ahead of the $10 million Tour Championship.
