Minor dispute: Three cops, five villagers wounded
Eight men, including three police officials, were wounded in a shootout in Dharyal Shinkiari village.

Eight men, including three police officials, were wounded when in a shootout in Dharyal Shinkiari village on Monday. Police said that Sher Muhammad of Banda Peeran village and his relatives were attending a nikah ceremony at Dharyah Seriyan village when some persons from the bride’s side clashed with them over a minor dispute, resulting in a shootout. When the police intervened, an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) and two constables were wounded, along with five villagers. They were taken to a local hospital from where the ASI Bashir Ahmed Khan and a villager were referred to Ayub Medical Complex Abbottabad due to their critical condition. Apart from ASI Bashir, the injured were identified as Ehtasham, Kala Khan, Haroon and constables Muhammad Ali and Muhammad Akram.
