KARACHI:

KPT registered their first win at the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL), beating PIA 1-0 in Karachi.

Earlier, Pakistan’s oldest football club had suffered a shaky start to their PPFL campaign, losing to Pakistan Navy and NBP. However, the team seemed to have recovered after they took an early lead with Mohammad’s goal in the seventh minute. KPT continued their attacking game, testing PIA’s goal-keeper Mohammad Bilal several times. While KPT got their first points in three games, PIA suffered their first loss after a win against HBL earlier this week.

“It’s about time we won,” KPT manager Shah Naeem told The Express Tribune. “This win will give us a boost after a disappointing start to the season. But now we seem to be back on track.”
