BAHAWALPUR: Bahawalpur Divisional Commissioner Muhammad Khan Khichi on Sunday directed the officials concerned to formulate an action plan in two days for the monsoon plantation campaign. He said that arrangements should be made to achieve the target of 312,400 saplings in the division. He said that committees should be constituted at divisional, district and tehsil levels to supervise the campaign. He said that saplings should be provided free-of-charge to educational institutes to attain the target of planting 70,000 saplings. The commissioner urged industrialists, traders, and farmers to assist the government in the campaign in making Bahawalpur a pollution-free zone. DCO Dr Naeem Rauf said that officials who show good performance would be given awards.
