Elements attacking defence installations are enemies of Pakistan: Altaf Hussain
During his telephonic conversation with Chairman of Pakistan Ulema Council Allama Tahir Ashrafi, Hussain said that the people of Pakistan should unite against such elements.
The MQM chief said that on one hand, conspiracies were being hatched against the Muslim world at an international level while on the other hand, Pakistan is being attacked from the inside.
He further added that the acts committed against the minorities are in fact destroying Pakistan.
Informing Allama Ashrafi about the establishment of Muttahida Bainul Muslimeen Forum, Hussain said his party is trying to promote sectarian and religious harmony.
Agreeing with the views of the MQM chief, Allama Ashrafi said that the Muslim world needs to get united.
Allama Ashrafi told Hussain that he supports him for his efforts in favour of Pakistan and Muslims.
“We want a system in Pakistan where the followers of all faiths, sects and schools of thought can live in peace and tranquillity by respecting each other,” he added.

Awan's directions to Sharma to "go and study Islam first" is no more than a snubbing remarks. I would prefer Awan to please list ten salient islamic practices that are followed in our country, and ten others that are contrary to it. Then please judge for yourself if we are worth of being called ISLAMIC REPUBLIC.

@p r sharma: Mr P R Sharma go and Study Islam first and in Islam ethnic and linguistic divisions should not come to the fore as Islam stresses the Universality rather than alienating the people on the basis of Language, Color or Ethnicity. Multi Culturalism is the beauty of Pakistan and every language and culture must be respected but no one have the right to owe one piece of land and start dividing people for Political gains. There is a difference in India and Pakistan and I have met many Indians in my life and I have seen South Indians and North Indians even dont talk with each other and even I have met People of Maharashtra and they abuse Biharis and people of UP and call them traitors of the land and this type of division should not be unacceptable in Pakistan.

Maybe because he is the only politician (by a large margin) who is consistently and unconditionally condemning sectarian killers and TTP terrorists without being apologetic. I am not a supporter of MQM and condemn them for their own fascist practices (at least in past) but I am impressed by MQM's stand against religious militancy. LETS GIVE CREDIT WHERE DUE without being sarcastic.
Why this UK national living in London is given so much coverage everyday? Had he any interest in our nation, he would not have adopted UK nationality, and not said partition of India was the biggest mistake in human history, and would have ensured peace in Karachi owing to the fact that his party has been in power since last 30 years. He is completely irrelevant, and needs to be ignored for good.
While talking with Altaf Hussein janab Allama Tahir Ashrafi took great care not to condemn these elements directly. Probably he does not have the courage to confront openly with thee elements ( they have gone beyond their control) Also why Altaf Hussein need endorsement of his views to call these attackers as the enemy of Pakistan? The reason is obvious as these elements derive strength from the religious people and these elements justify their activities in the name of Islam saying that the regime is anti Islam (other than the ally of US who per their version is against the Islam and the Muslims),

@Awans: When Pakistan was carved out on the basis of religion why cry if a province is being carved out on the basis of language / ethnicity.

The person who is playing ethnic cards by supporting carving out areas based on mere languages to destroy pluralism and encourage homogeneity and ownership of one group in one region is a real enemy of Pakistan in my view and Mr Altaf is one of them along with ANP.
