ISLAMABAD: In an ironic move on Tuesday, the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) cut off the power supply to the office of the Water and Power ministry, including other offices in Pakistan Secretariat, owing to non-payment of bills, Express News reported.

Capital Development Authority (CDA) is responsible for clearing the electricity dues of the offices, situated in Pakistan Secretariat.

Federal Minister for Water and Power Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar said that power supply to all defaulters will be disconnected without any discrimination.

He further said that the CDA owed Rs1.7 billion in electricity dues.
