LANDIKOTAL: Two pedestrians were injured when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), planted on a roadside exploded near them in Khyber Agency on Sunday. The two brothers Mir Din and Ghilaf Shah were on their way to a market when the incident took place, said Shahid Afridi, an official of the political administration of Bazaar Zakha Khel. “It was a small IED planted in a heap of mud by the road side,” said Afridi. The injured brothers’ father Gulab Shah rushed to the site and took them to a nearby clinic, where they were treated with first aid and discharged. The blast was one of low intensity, according to Afridi. Earlier this week, a volunteer of Touheedul Islam peace militia was killed and another was injured in an IED explosion while patrolling the same area.
