Keeping clean: Encroachments to be removed

Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s MPA instructed the Water and Sewerage Board to mend the drains and sewer lines.

KARACHI: All encroachments along water courses and nullas must be removed to ensure efficient working of the sewerage system during rains.

This was said by Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s MPA Nishat Muhammed Zia Qadri. He directed clearing all encroachments in and around Malir River, Chakora Nulla, Golden Town nulla and all other water courses in Shah Faisal colony area.

He also instructed the local bodies and the Water and Sewerage Board to mend the drains and sewer lines. Qadri visited Shah Faisal Colony and reviewed the emergency plan for monsoon rains.
